Description

The entry to this tranquil getaway is through a white picket fence into a narrow front yard bordered on either side with lush bushes, trees, and flowering plants. As you step onto the porch, the charm of your grandparents' home may come to mind where you can relax and watch the world outside while you enjoy your favorite beverage.

The first bedroom has a single daybed with a trundle beneath and the second has a queen-size bed. Both rooms have the customary built-in closets and drawers for clothing. Back in the living spaces, a dining room table and chairs break up the room’s length. Oriental rugs provide the overall atmosphere of the room and a warm and cozy ambiance. The kitchen is a delightful room filled with light and a 1950s style working refrigerator/freezer.

Around the corner from the kitchen are the stairs to access the upper bedroom and also the entrance into the renovated bathroom. This is a large room that is filled with light from the frosted window squares that form an oval wall about the large garden tub. Potted plants border the edge of the tub making this room like a garden paradise.

This home is located just right for those who seek to hike into Boise’s desert hills. A short walk uphill from the house will get you into the trails and scenery of our beautiful wildlands. Or one can walk through the neighborhood into downtown Boise.

Please note this is an historic Victorian home built in roughly 1907. This property is a little funky; eccletic furnishings; Oriental rugs, some antique furnture, unique housewares and appliances. It's a great location, close to downtown, Boise Co-op, The VA Hospital, St Luke's Hospital, and the foothills.

The entire home including the side yards are open to guest's use except for these areas:

The basement, backyard, and guest house beyond the back patio. The owner occupies the aforementioned areas of the property so please respect her privacy. 

The rental rate is dependent upon the length of the stay.

Ample parking is available on the street.
